How many have rode far less miles since 2020? I know I have. My life's' main hobby has been motorbikes, among others but always at the centre have been at least two bikes. I ride a RSV Mille and a Sportster. I watched the shenanigans prevail in 2020 and frankly, I did not buy into it; I feel I was right in doing so. When the roads opened up again they felt busier, I ended up with a court case for crossing a white line due to a motorway closure (packed roads to Devils Bridge one Sunday afternoon filtering). I represented myself as the camera footage was awful. I went to court and challenged this, I realised how corrupt the courts were as it came down to the Police Officer's word (they are no longer constables as they work for the state, not the crown) and I was found guilty. Fined and points awarded. What landed in my favour was the fact that I had asked for evidence prior to defending myself. The DVD was posted to me after the sentencing; result! The fine was refunded and all sentence repealed. ULEZ, cameras everywhere, unmarked vans, bikes, proposed geo fencing, tracked bikes, pay per mile tax, kill switches on vehicles, bikes and cars over engineered with tech and renting your optional extras; call me a purist, I'll say no. I refuse to live in fear and I intend to get some miles in next year but I will be out early or late and avoiding all the 'moths to a flame scenarios'. Too many people have been taken out by other vehicles, more people collapsing at the wheel these days and slumped into trees. Remember, you are worth more to the pharma companies unhealthy; let that land. Lately we see this corrupt government now calling for dropping jury trails for most cases and only facilitating them for rapes/murders. This gives them a blank canvas for throwing people in jail for lesser offences (there are 6 new prisons being built, nothing shown on the corrupt media) I believe we are having our rights and freedoms stripped and the last 5 years has been so blatant. They want most of us off the road and the Electric car - 15 minute cities, climate hoax and virus propaganda is all weaponised against freedom of travel and human rights. I feel that most have buried their heads in the sand over what is going on (1984 Orwellian dystopia) and I wondered if others felt the same way? I do hope that this thread is not removed and discussed as it is very important. Some say discussing this is bad for mental health, unfortunately we are way past this and need to start unifying to make a change before it is too late. Peace and hope to see you out there! Oh dear, so your own mindset and the Woke culture is stopping you from riding? Well, that is sad and I am not sure if that is what multi billionaire Elon Musk had in mind… or did he?? Implicating your post would be removed is also an assumption that this site is corrupt?? Hmmm…. Seems to me that not just the Unwoken have been brainwashed… 🤔🙃🫠 Not sure what new laws about court trials and tax on miles on electric cars have to do with riding either but then I am blonde 😅😉. If you ride according to the law you won't find yourself in hot water, simples. If you don't, well that is entirely your business, each to their own. If you are not into highly computerised bikes don't ride them, still plenty of ‘old school’ bikes about. Again, each to their own… if we were all bus drivers, there would be no passengers… I don't care what people's philosophy is, I just don't like them being forced onto me.
I have ridden a lot less in the last few years, something I have started to change this year, but purely because of very personal circumstances and at times because of the state of the roads.
It's just the usual riding mileage for me since 2020 (lock-downs excepted), but this year about 20% of those miles have been electric assisted :-) The biggest change in society I'm seeing since 2020 is the denial of science and the spread of conspiracy theories. A lot of the stuff going on in the world is big, scary and complicated leaving many people looking for simple explanations or just sticking their heads in the sand and hoping it will all go away. I suppose it's the modern version of sacrificing a chicken and praying to the gods to stop the rain.

Well I did less each year ending with only one ride this year to Lower Lode, the world is no longer a nice place to live in and I don’t like the direction it’s going, I’m being forced to accept things and steered in a direction I don’t want to go, I grew up in the 60s and 70s which must of been one of the best periods to live, I don’t like the world my my kids are being forced into and I no longer seem to fit in but they seem to accept it and are moving forward with their lives so I’ll just have to grin and bear it and I will make the most off it and just put up with whatever time I have left
Well we all know how corrupt certain parts of the establish and associated people can be but remember your a long time dead and you only get one crack at it get on the bike get some fly and bug guts on your visor and ride while you can I know I'll prob get slated but I don't give a toss I'll prob be off the road after Xmas for a while im having my right knee replaced I cant wait to get it done but the worst and two biggest pains are not riding my bike and having those bastard staples removed Crack on everyone have a great Christmas 🎄 be safe all those that have to ride all year come to that everyone be safe
