Don't know if any of you have heard the sad news that Nicky Hayden is in Hospital in Italy.
He is in an 'extremely critical'condition. A statement said the 35-year-old suffered serious polytrauma with subsequent serious cerebral damage in the accident and that his prognosis remains unknown.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nicky and his family at this dreadful time. Godspeed Nicky, hoping and praying for a recovery.

Saturday May 2003.10: Nicky Hayden’s father, Earl, has been unable to join his wife and son in Italy due to his own medical issues. But he has been keeping up to date on Nicky’s condition from his home in Kentucky. However, the ‘fake news’ online is reportedly adding to his pain. Earl Hayden told Roadracing World the following: - The family HAS NOT issued a statement that Nicky is dead. - Nicky IS NOT dead, although he is on life support. - Nicky was riding his bicycle alone, NOT in a group of 14 riders. - Doctors DID NOT perform surgery on Nicky. - Nicky WAS NEVER in an induced coma.
What a terrible, terrible situation for Nicky's family and friends to be in, without some #@&*wits giving them more to deal with and adding to their pain.
