The nationwide campaign started in April, but there is - as usual - a big focus on North Wales. You can follow updates using #OpDarwen and #RideSafely hashtags.

Confirmed focal points:-

A494 between Dolgellau and Bala
A525 from Ruthin to Bwlychgywn
A525/A539 between Ruabon, Overton and Redbrook
A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Corwen
A543 between Denbigh and Pentrefoelas
A5104/A494 Bryneglwys to Corwen

There will also be ongoing presence / Bikesafe campaigns and workshops at The Ponderosa, Betws-y-Coed, Corwen and Llangollen.

Police have launched the new campaign which targets both riders and drivers aiming to increase awareness and offering additional training.
As part of the mission, posters are being placed on popular routes where crashes have taken place in the last three years and police are also encouraging bikers to give their motorcycle a thorough check if it’s been stored away during the winter months. There is also the option for riders to attend a ‘Take Control’ motorcycle skills enhancement course.Thought I'd highlight it, in case you didn't already know...!
To be honest, it would be a novelty to see police bikes north of Watford anyway.
I haven't even met them training around Lincolnshire, so far this year. Perhaps..it might help car drivers do some contemplating, too.
