Allied Memorial Remembrance Ride (AMRR)
Many bikes of all types attend this event : trikes, sidecars, Japanese, Italian, Harleys to classics sports, old and new. The ride is through Cambridge to the American Memorial, where a short service is held, to commemorate those who gave their lives. On the same day rides take place across the USA, France, South Africa, Canada and New Zealand, where riders go to the British memorials to show their respect for fallen heroes of the allied forces. Funds raised go to the poppy fund to support British troops and their families.
Meet at Cambridge Services (Junction 28 of A14 by 11.30 for a 12 noon start. Address for satnav users: Huntington Road, Cambridge, CB23 4WU. A short ride to the Cambridge American Cemetery Memorial for a service to be held from 13.45.
The Rendezvous Point will be the HGV parking area, marshals will be on site from early morning so please follow their directions for parking. The Services are only a few miles from the Cemetery and have all the usual facilities food, drink, fuel, cashpoint as well as having a Motel.
