so your looking at one of three issued then. faulty injector head gasket or piston rings. Did the mechanic offer any indications on the most lilky suspect?

Wenders, you going to have a Big Bore and some pistons?

Hmm, if no3 injector has been over fueling, then the sudden stop on the road could be caused by hydraulic lock, hopefully the pressure hasn't been enough to break the piston rings or damage the valves, but make sure the oil and filter are replaced because the excess fuel will have drained into the sump and fooked the oil and will be slowly eating any rubbery bits it can find.
Hope its a quick and not too expensive fix!

yep what yid said about the oil... might also be worth getting the timing chain done whilst he's got it apart, if you love your trumpy and want to keep him forever..

Feckin gutted!!! Just heard about Trumpy, whoever turned it into a streetfighter changed all wiring and didnt secure, wiring made ECU get false info, hence firing too much fuel into cylinder 3...Result, piston 3 has popped and ECU no longer registering truth!!! Have been told a rebore and new pistons over £1000, so am now looking for a block, pistons and ECU second hand, but have to be from T595 1997

HELP!!!!!!!!

What a bummer! Found this on eBay, but by the time you've had it installed in the bike you may as well have had the original work done

Doesn't say if it includes the ECU, either

I would look for a donor bike that has been written off in a font or rear end smash as long as the engine and ecu are on then I would perform a transplant possibly use the loom too.
