I have in the past and will do again, usually find it easier to meet people and make friends when on my own

I'd love to be able to go to a rally alone. I admire all those who do, especially the ladies. Bravo x .. Its not easy without a bike of your own and driving isn't quite the same, especially at a 'bike rally'.. I'd feel lost on my own. Guess I need to get brave. I'd also need to practice putting up a tent

Hey, Bad penny all you need to do is follow forum threads about rallies and camping weekends...just exchange a few pms with people. We are all really nice and friendly and there will be people to meet up with...honestly! That's how many of us got going and once you've ventured forth I bet you'll be hooked It's ok to turn up in a car at some events...at other rallies a lift in can be sorted out. As for putting up your tent...just laugh about any incompetance. I got a new tent for crimbo and the first time I put it up in April I'll have the instructions in my hand, and I don't care

Karey .. everybody knows you .. you could go to a rally in a mortuary and someone would say hiya .. lol .. To everyone thinking about going to rallies on their own .. like everybody's said .. we all have the same thing in common . Bikes .. so you're never alone

I have gone to a lot of rallys by myself. When I was based in Cornwall I would just take of North to which ever rally was on distance or weather be damned. As soon as you get there I have always found people welcome you when they see you are alone and after a few rallys you meet up with people you know.... Where I live now there aren't many on bikes and even less that do rallys, but fortunately I have a good bunch of friends that are always there and it is never a dull moment especially if Katie's about lol.... So don't sit on the side lines a bike rally is probably the most safe and friendly places you can ever go....

I'll bare that in mind MTM if ever the offer of a lift arises.. I don't mind sharing a seat with a hefty rucksack if it gets me there & back in one piece. It beats sitting on the side line thats for sure x

Ha Ha Minnie .. The rucksack is no longer needed .. I`ve got panniers now .. Well maybe a small one , only because of the things you women pack .. We don`t need the kitchen sink or hair straighteners lol Bad Penny .. you`re welcome to a lift to a rally .. Just PM me as to which one ? I will always bring you back in one piece

Any rally I've gone to alone I've always bumped into at least half dozen folk I know, just can't get away from them, even a 1000 miles away.LOL

Not been to a rally on my own because I've never been to a rally! However I have camped alone, gone to shooting meets on my own and spent a long weekend wandering around the Peak on my own. There's a lot to be said for it to be honest!

Rallied on my own, festivaled on my own, holidayed on my own. Love it cos you always end up meeting new peeps cos it forces you I think to socialise with new peeps that maybe you wouldn't if you went with a group. But don't get me wrong, would still rather go as a group. Think I enjoy it either way.
