Hello folks...I'm going to re-build my '79 T140E Bonny, over this winter, and, will need to source some quality spares. Needed are: Full wiring loom, carb to air-box rubbers (full-set) - left and right hand handlebar switche assy's, - possibly an up-rated alternator etc, plus a choke assy for the right hand carb (choke plunger+sleeve+return spring). Also a full set of foot-rest rubbers, including kick start, and gear change too. I need a supplier that someone on here, or a mate of theirs has used, and found to be good folk to deal with! I'm not interested in sourcing cheaper parts, but want top quality stuff, price isn't an issue here, quality is. Can anyone help? Cheers!

Thanks AJG.. Yep, seen NH's add's in the classic bike mags, wondered if his stuff was ok.. I'll Google the Vauxhall guy see what comes up! ..Might as well uprate the alternator to the modern spec whilst it's stripped too. It's already got the belt primary drive conversion fitted, done by previous owner..

I've used TMS in Nottingham, Autocycle in Netherton, LP Williams. These guys buy from the same wholesaler in Coventry. Probably the best bet is to have a wad of cash and go to the stafford show in April as there will be loads of traders selling goodies for T140. At the show there is a stall that just sells all the rubber bits for the bike.

most looms are made by wassell and sold though the normal channels. However at the stafford show there is a chap who makes the looms up while your there providing he has got a drawing for that model. just make sure you by the right year as the last thing you want is to buy a positive earth loom if you need a negative earth loom
