This
is going to be a Great week, Portsmouth to St.Malo, then a 2 hr ride
down to your gite in Central Brittany close to a 7 mile lake ( yes
there's fishing gear !!). The event is from the 23rd - 29th June 2012. We
will spend the week discovering the brilliant roads leading to some
beautiful scenery around the north and south coasts, and some of the
inland historic towns, Stopping to eat lots of 3 & 4 course lunches
for £10 ( including your cidre !). The accommodation ( gite) is a self Catering farmhouse with full kitchen, though there is a full menu on site ! There's more info on the events page including a website address so you can see where you will be staying.
With me 4 ! So it will be intimate ! Eve will join us for Drinks and will pilli, but as she has a 125 she doesn't want to hold anyone up !! There are other bikers here though who will meet up with us for rides.
Sorry not been in touch all, I've been having problems with my computer !! All good now though, And yes it's going to be fun. There will hopefully be a ride out with the local French club on the Sunday, Will be good !!
MIckey - Is it going to be possible to book another person in for this. I have been talking about this holiday to a friend and got her interested in coming. Is it too late to book someone else in on this. I should hsve a definite answer from her next weekend.
Also, which route do you reccomend. I have a choice of taking the Dover - Dunkerque route or the Porstmouth - St Malo. I have done both in the past with a car, and am not too struck on the overnight trip. But Dover/Dunkerque involves a lot more driving and possibly an overnight stop. You must have done the trip many times. Which do you reccomend?
Need to sort this out, then I can start planning. Can't wait to get over there.
