On topic... I know what SF is getting at and it does annoy me too. There's no problem if you pop in and post in 5 topics you're following. The problem is where some people come in and just bombard EVERY topic on the forum with "LOL" and "HAHA" at the end, without any constructive input. It's just spamming the forum and not welcome on any site (including BM).
