I dunno about up front but the pillion seat on the ZZR1100 was so comfy I fell asleep, so maybe the pilot's seat is just as comfy. The GPZ 500 was quite comfy too, went to Wales on that.

John I am having the same issues with the SV ... Not the right bike for my back for the touring we do, but great ride even when fully loaded.

I am looking at the GSX650F but have not test ridden it yet, feels better when sitting on it tho

i think the handle bars should be higher and closer , low seat , slightly forward foot rests , high screen . what about a honda trans alp or a yamaha tenere with lowered seat . anybody hever had a honda hornet are they any good .

i also think you need a bike that will do 60 or more miles to the gallon , petrol is expensive

had a 2002 600 hornet for 18 months, great bike! Would only do 120 at a push, 50mpg riding it like an old man, 45 giving it more beans. Soft suspension, bit too soft as standard, but reliable as hell, cleaned up like new after being ridden 365 days a year.
Would like a 900...

"you're not old enough for a Honda"

Without checking his profile I'm gonna guess that FIREBLADEjohn already owns a Honda lol!

John, presuming you are keeping the 'blade (presuming indeed that you own a 'blade lol) and presuming also that you're sensible enough to stick with Honda lol, I would seriously consider taking a test ride on a VFR.

But at the moment there is still hope he will come to his senses & get a proper one for a sports tourer , we all go through a stupid phase in our lives, just with some it lasts longer than others
