The Job Centre is advertising the post of Wall of Death rider.The job involves riding a 1920s bike at up to 60mph around the inner wall of vertical drum, suspended up to 20 feet from the floor by centrifugal force. Potential applicants are told: “Must not be afraid to take risks. Experience riding a motorcycle necessary, Wall of Death training will be given.” Carters Steam Fair, of Maidenhead, Berkshire, says the job involves travel and salary is negotiable. Hours are 1pm to 11pm Saturday and 1pm to 9pm Sunday. It’s advertised on Job Centre Plus’ website and the fair’s site:

Remuneration could be a problem tho - may be a salary ceiling What would happen if you asked for rise Brings a new interpretation of the advice "Don't step on people on the way up as you might meet them on the way back down" How could you climb the slippery pole
