Glad all you enjoyed FYP was a gudun, did not recognise many of you but hey thats the thing when 8 thousand bikers get togeather (Sorry could not give a lift in t'hearse to those of you who asked but was there to sell and not taxi :o( ) The guy who bought it was asked by his son if he could take it on the feild and have a go at power sliding it, luckily dad said no as until he'd paid for it, it was not his to offer up.......... BTW next year MAG are saying they will only pre book tickets via phone or web and not supply Via reps (now that means that you WILL HAVE to pay £1.50 booking fee PER PERSON/ticket as is the norm now)

i am confused in all the years i have been involved in shows and visiting them the point of buying advanced tickets was to save money for the punters and get organisers money in advance i have not heard of a booking fee before is this just a MAG/ farmyard thing or are other shows doing the same

Sadly all of 'em inflict a booking fee if they do it via ticket agencies these days, as lots of them seem to be going over to.

Doesn't give the organisers any extra funding - the booking fee goes to the agency. Money for old rope. Makes the ticketing side of the admin a bit easier for the organisers I guess, but it's pretty sucky for the punters.

Yorkshire Pudding, Ganton Gathering, Spat out of Hull, Farmyard Party and Into The Valley are all Run by MAP for mag in the East/North Yorkshire area, each of those as far as I am aware already have the booking fee if you book via Web or Phone and the charge is per ticket not per booking.

lol - thing was Blue - I did it trying to get onto Dave's bike on Friday morning!!! & then the fiasco of trying to get off it again when we got to Squires & then back on again!!! it was one of those moments that the rest of em will never forget! ...hence that piccy of Mark & Phil lifting me onto the back of the bike on Sunday am! thanks for the hug Geoff Kaz, not sure about riding the bike - not that I've got a working bike to try & ride mind you!! Thanks Shell

Really sorry to hear this Stella, sounds pretty nasty. I tore the ligaments in my left knee so have some understanding of the pain and the resulting instability of the kneecap but I hope that's not an issue for you. Take care and rest up and I hope the specialist can put you right. Another hug on its way.

At least you only got a ticket for parking stella 1 unfortunate couple had their car tipped in it's side in the long stay car park, still do not know if they were at FYP but a copper came on site to ask if MAG had them down on the pre booked list so they could give them the bad news, they were not on the list so were probably part of a bulk booking or, (ahem) ferried in "padestians" who paid on the gate. They may have been visiting friends for weekend in Helmsley maybe we will never know. Hope you are on the mend. xx
