HG, I guess you're talking about Chief Petty Officer Bill Stone, who died on January 10 aged 108, who was the last man to have served in the Royal Navy during both world wars. If that's the case, then RIP old timer, there's a fair few million people around who are only here because of heroes like you.

I went to his funeral yesterday,it was very emotional but I think due to his years,and his great being as a person,it was truly a great day.I feel priviledged to have know him
