Hi everyone, Please can you let me know if you get the following error? "SQL Server does not exist or access denied" Please copy all the error, including code-line reference numbers etc. Include the exact time that it occurred also. I'm working with the webhosts to resolve this, but there appears to be a problem with the main web server connecting to the new DB server. I need to ascertain if it's a particular time of day, certain code, etc. Many thanks as always ~Matt

I didn't make any copies, but it was coming up over and over again late last night.

bugger - have been getting that all morning, so have just logged out & back in again & all appears to be ok for the time being! If it does it again, I'll copy the details for ya Matt

Likewise - last night/this morning - stacks of 'em, but since logging back in 15-20 minutes ago, no problems.

Ooh - tell a lie. Just clicked on "all active topics" and got this (above the list):

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

/sites/bm/forum/active_topics.asp, line 220

Its mainly a problem late at night, or so I thought. And logging out/in wont help at all... all you have to do is press refresh (Or F5) and the page will reload fine.

Thanks TeeCee, keep them coming. I've not been online much today so don't know if it's been bad or not.

I'm sure that before you asked the question I'd had similar errors but on other places i.e. not just on "active topics"

I had a couple of times where a thread would part load and the error message would come up in place of a post. But it's not happened since and I didn't pay attention to the error number.

Another one for the collection of completely pointless Wannabe posts. *ahem*

Also yesterday.... when you clicked on Active Topics, after a VERY long time only two or three thread topics would come up... (no error message shown)

wannabe - that's interesting! Keep an eye open for them and post up if you get them. Remember - I need date/time AND a copy of the whole error that comes up!

Ooops... thought a post had bounced but I backpaged, hit the button again and it's posted twice... meantime I got another page flick up with this:

CDO.Message.1 error '80040213'

The transport failed to connect to the server.

/sites/bm/header_inc.asp, line 136

Between 23:15 and 23:16
