The words P-up & brewery spring to mind...

Drummer popped to the pub this morning to check on everything - make sure the posters were still up & whatnot, only to be told that the gig's been cancelled.

Reason?

"We ain't got the stock"

Say what?

They book a band that always brings rent-a-mob of 50-100 people with them and don't bother upping the beer order? And don't bother feckin' informing the BAND that the gig's been cancelled.

Sheesh.

*gives up*

Sorry chaps/chapesses... We'll have to find somewhere else to go play...

Alternative possiblity...

Tomorrow i.e. Sunday 2nd Nov 9pm at The Courthouse in Dartford - "The Priff Sticks"... With a BM member on guitar - bikerjohn666.

Never seen 'em, so can't provide a personal recommendation, but might just go check 'em out anyway.

I think the pub's open til midnight anyway... and has been known to stay open til 2-ish if there's a good crowd.

DS is drinking, so I can point & laugh at her.

With her & Ricdude, there'll be room for another in the trusty Ka, so first come, first served ;o) Original plan was to share cab fare with DS & stay at hers, but if we're messing about travelling between Hoo/Maidstone/Gill, that'll all get a little costly, so I'd prefer to drive.
