yea getting better now :-) Supposed to have my first flying lesson today though. I was all set to go, feeling much better... and its been cancelled cos of weather etc. Dammit! So im gutted now

scratch that, clouds lifted and i was good to go. That was the best time of my life. Flying is awesome, really is absolutely nothing like i expected.

glad you enjoyed flying Matt, i had a lesson last year and loved it! best bit was waiting on the runway to give way to the easy jet plane that was taking off! might do it again this year but after costing out amount of lessons to get licence decided 3grand will buy a really nice bike and i can go out whenever so test is looming in about 1 month! GOOD LUCK!! keep at it !

I had a lesson a few years ago, fantastic experience, still not sure which part was the scariest, taking off or landing it on your own :(

Flying planes never really appealed to me, but I do like jumping out of them. And what a better reason to jump out of a plane than you flying it Matt!!

yea i didnt eat for 24 hours or so, or drink all day lol. There was an "oh shit, oh phew" moment lol Julie - 3 grand? That was cheap! Mind you, I get to use eindhoven millitary base (which eindhoven AIRPORT use too, as they dont have their own runway believe it or not). Theres about 6 ryanair jets each day, then the rest of the time is for me! Me me me! I was doing touch-n-go's, managed to land on my own 3 times (Yea ok the instructor was helping a bit! lol) Scary - we should team up! Halfers on the plane rental, i fly it you jump from it (or i could push you if you ask nicely )
