Not my favourite but deffo the best. Jimi Hendrix "All along the Watchtower" No I take that back.... My vote goes to "Sylvia" by Hocus Pocus.

ceremony by joe satriani, no actually, nearly EVERYTHING by Mr Satriani, hammond may be a driving god, but mr satriani is the GUITAR GOD OF ROCK! www.myspace.com/satriani or type in yourself if link no good, love the guitar work of eric sardinas as well. like all the above artists'work as well!!!!!

Stop being rude Kay....... 2W it's not my choice for best, but one I do really .... really like is Alvin Lee from Ten Years After. Especially on the track "Comin' Home" from their live album. Ric Lee is a pretty good bassist too.

just checked out yngwie maimsteen out on napster, technically brilliant BUT, joe satrianis guitar sings from the heart, pure emotion in string form, im my humble opinion anyway!!!!

Maimsteem is renouned as having "the fastest fingers to ever grace a fretboard."

But medlodicaly there are better guitarists in my opinion. Players like, Robert Fripp (Fripp & Eno), Bryan May, Joe Walsh (Eagles, The Jones Gang), Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) and of course "Ol' Slow Hand" Mr Eric Clapton.
