Ok... panniers and luggage rack ordered! Looks like I am definitely going now... First big ride from the Highlands down to England and can't wait!! Will probably be there both days as meeting my brother there and we are camping over night.

That's cool Teecee does your brother live down this way then? Unfortunately there isn't much goes on at night if you stay over night onsite which is a shame there used to be a steel band and live music but not recently. Theres a few nice rides this way over at Calshot, Lepe Beach and the Forest is fantastic on a bike. Look forward to meeting you. Mazza x

Hey Mazza! My brother lives in Bray just outside Windsor. We know that area quite well so might try and camp around Lyndhurst or Lymington. Failing that, there is always our fall back site of Holmsley and then fish & chip supper at Mudeford Quay... I will take a look at those places you mention they, great to have options!! Looking forward to meeting you too..

Thats cool then Teecee, I am sure you know a few sites, but one comes to mind on main road into Ashurst but cant remember name of the site off top of my head, but if you want me to get a few names and numbers let me know. I am only 10 mins from there and I dont mind going there after work its nice to have a drive out and have walk round forest after work nice to chill out. Mazza x

That's very kind of you, thanks Mazza. My bro is away on business at the moment but gets back into the UK on Friday so will chat with him then about arrangements and get back to you. x

Sorry everyone - TOTALLY GUTTED but we just cannot make it this year I have £100 of chain & sprockets on order for my bike this week and Dave is spending the day getting his bike back together for work tomorrow... hope to see you all soon, and have a great day to those who do brave the weather and get to Beaulieu xx

Well I didn't surface until 11am at my sister's in Surby, so figured it was a bit pointless heading out that late! Hope it hasn't rained TOO heavily on those who managed to make an appearance!

Did anyone get to Beaulieu? Did you have a good day? Glad the weather perked up for the afternoon... I even got some washing out on the line! Good news is that Dave's bike is back together, working and looking gorgeous in it's new snake-skin paintwork!! It got him to work ok this morning thank god! Just mine to get the chain and sprockets changed this weekend and we'll finally be out and about again!! Woo hoo!!
