Lots of old friends to catch up with, but Maggie (My dog.) tells me I can't go. 😢

Hope you have a great time though!

Going over on Sunday, it'll be good to see all the old bikes being put through their paces, the sounds and smells.
Hoping it will be well attended. !

Just had chance to watch now 'invalid characters'..........awesome, the crew looked like they were having fun, powerslides, driftng and a wheelie exiting the final corner, guess there's truth in the statement "old dogs still bite"😉

I'll bet they were Dave.
After attending just one trackday TRYING trying to do some development work on my Seeley Weslake, I gave up and entered modern supertwins races on it, before doing the real classic races it was built for.

a/ It surprised a lot of people.
b/Lots of them didn't even know what it was and came around to see/talk about it after.

Well I'm not impressed with the event, far too many long breaks in between races. They will have to up their game if they are to get people to attend and make a success of the racing again.

In fairness Glen, whilst the racing was brilliant, close and competitive, the sea mist which kept rolling in during the afternoon put the organisers in 'Cautious' mode and caused delays, they obviously didn't want to take unnecessary risks over safety, given what happened a few years ago.
There were a couple of Red flag incidents too, we saw a sidecar overturned at Mere Hairpin, thankfully no-one was injured. Plenty of interesting classic noisy, fast, smelly machinery, won't put me off going to the Gold Cup in September.
