A petition has been created to request that air ambulance services are funded directly from central government rather than by charitable donation.

The petition is here:

Signed, an extremely worthy cause which needs much ongoing support. Sadly this petition does not apply to N Ireland (even though we are part of UK), which is what Dr John Hinds always campaigned for before his death. At the min N.I.'s air ambulance service (HEMS) is solely funded by charity donations as is the case with most of the rest of UK air medical services. Hopefully our ministers here in NI will get off their arses and get our services back up and running soon and get us more equal footing with UK regarding mental health and medical services. There are petitions here but not on a national scale, or are largely forgotten. Definitely a wonderful cause, anywhere in the world x

Thank you everyone. There's a lovely documentary about Dr. Hinds on YouTube, he was such a wonderful man.
