Hey all. Sorry I'm a bit quiet at the moment. I am hiding here in the background though, just very busy.
It's come to my attention though that BMers are using much older technology/browsers than the average person in the UK.
The new BikerMatch website uses very modern browser features. When I was designing it I was checking what percent of UK web users would have a good experience with BM.
I can see that as of today 95.91% of Brits should be getting a good experience on BM.
BUT! And he's the thing. I've been running some stats on the average BM visitor and what browser you folks are using. I'm really horrified about the browser you're all using. Only 55.7% of BM visitors are able to use some of the modern features of the website.... features which give YOU a better and faster experience.
So I've added a little script to the site. It will run once every 6 page-changes for anyone who is logged in. It checked your browser version and if you are using a browser which is significantly out of date then you'll see a little popup bar with a link to upgrade it.

Please let me know if you have any negative experience with this script, or if you find that you're using the latest browser but the popup bar keeps showing, for example
Bump. I'm seeing a slow (very slow) improvement in the browsers people are using. Of particular problem at the moment are mobile users, Android and iPhone users. Please, please hit the update button in your settings menu (or wherever) and let your phone update.
Android users you only need to update your browser. Add Chrome from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome&hl=en
iPhone/iPad users you need to upgrade your IOS which will also update your Safari browser https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204204
Please do this as you are all holding back the site! I cannot push for new features on the site while there are dinosaurs out there still.
