ON ANY SUNDAY
Not content with having one star guest, this year’s show will welcome four of the cast from iconic motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday. Former racers Dave Aldana, Don Emde, Mert Lawwill and Gene Romero all had central roles in Bruce Brown’s legendary 1972 film and will all be in attendance to share stories with showgoers about the movie. As well as finding fame on the big screen, all four of the guests also took part in the Anglo-American Match Races held in the UK at circuits such as Brands Hatch, Mallory Park and Oulton Park in the 1970s. Mert Lawwill’s appearance at the show will be his first visit to the UK since that time. THE SUZUKI SECTION
As this is the Mechanics show, and it’s the modern classics of the 1960s, 70s and 80s which are most celebrated, there will be a dedicated Suzuki area at this year’s event. The Suzuki Owners Club, Kettle Club, Air Cooled Suzuki (including Katana), Team Classic Suzuki and the GT/X7 Owners Club will all be in attendance, and Robinsons Foundry will be selling parts and clothing. Crooks Suzuki and Redcar Motorcycles will also be on hand to help with any customer enquiries. In the Suzuki GB area, Barry Sheene’s 1976 and 1977 world championship-winning bikes will be brought over from his family home in Australia and will be displayed alongside the GSX-R750F and TL1000S which have been refurbished and rebuilt. LIVE ACTION AND PLENTY TO SEE
Hear them roar in the Classic Racer GP Paddock as famous race bikes are fired up, while next door the Classic Dirt Bike Experience will host trials demonstrations. The live Restoration Theatre will be running once again, as will Cavalcade sessions in the showground’s main ring… and we have it on good authority that our On Any Sunday stars will be taking part. On the static display front, an incredible collection of machines will be ready and waiting to be inspected by visitors and event judges alike. TRADE AND AUTOJUMBLE
With so much excitement going on it’s easy to forget that at the heart of the Stafford show is the biggest collection of classic bike traders and autojumble stalls you will find anywhere on the planet! Project bikes, spares, parts, tools, riding gear, cleaning kit, accessories, memorabilia, reading material… you name it, our exhibitors have it for sale. BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW
A day out with your mates enjoying everything great that motorcycling has to offer… it doesn’t get much better than that, but a money-saving offer might just be the icing on the gate.
