Thought id sort a ride out as being new to Yorkshire I am going out and about exploring this lovely County. I put it in the events forum for them to look at.
I'm going and thought I would see who else wanted to go as there's alot of BM'ers around here asking for friends and rides.
meet Ripon Market Place , onto A59 stopping at Route 59 Cafe for breakkie and a cuppa, Skipton, Settle, Hawes, layburn, Bedale, Northallerton, then down to the A61 back to Ripon Market Place...

Picked a great day to do the ride out route!, glorious sun shine yaaaaay.
Now! just gotta remember to clock the miles other wise slow goose will think i'm a "donkey" .....again!!.. lol

Did the route and got the miles at 116 and took 4hrs including Breakkie at A59 cafe and cuppa at Hawes, A fantastic ride !!!!!
Shame we missed each other !!!!.

I'm new to area...I drove to Hawes today, lovely drive cos not got bike yet. Saw loads of bikers having fun, really missing having a bike so if anyone could offer a pilly place I'd be really grateful.....here's hoping Helen :)

the answer is yes verry easy
i used to go up there with my 1960s
raligh runabout moped it was peddle start belt drive single speed

Also can ya let me know if having food at the A59 Cafe as shaune and Audrey would like and idea of how many to expect. Can vouch for the food mmmmmm and they sell cake!!! lol

A65 to Settle then the B6480 then the B6479,
turning on to the B6255 to Hawes, ( drink break )
A684 to Leyburn, Bedale then towards Northallerton,
taking the A167 to the A61 and then finishing at Ripon Market Place...

I did this on Monday and it was new to me !!, but it is "AWSOME" and will be doing it again and again ...

Hay Richard, it's well worth the ride as you probably know, If ya wanna fill up I use Morrisson's as the garage opposite wont serve you unless ya off ya bike , GRRRRRRRRRR jobs worths.. looking forward to meeting you Richard..
Are you eating at the A59 cafe when we stop there??
