I dont understand why you felt it necessary to start an argument over a comment that didnt condemn the thread but instead pointed out that the government dont care because it doesnt affect them personally. Only after the Thames burst it's banks and the more affluent constituents might be getting their toes wet do they come out and say they will do something about it.

Oddly enough, this was my posting in room 101 last night Without a shadow of any doubt......the knobheads that call themselves our Government. I don't usually pass political comments, but for fs. The government only offer assistance to the poor flood victims now that the Thames has burst it's banks. FFS, the people of Somerset and other counties have had to endure this for weeks.................support, financial or otherwise should not be a f*****g postcode lottery.

Well said B.L they only bothering now Thames what about rest of towns and villages. farm land that get it all the time. Some people ain't going to recover after this lot so they are going to need a lot of help to move back home with repairs, drying out and rebuild what they lost
