Jaffa, I'm sure if you cast your mind back to the heady days of summer you will remember fish and chips being consumed closely followed by ice cream at Matlock.

As 66 says, you know you won't win; I have found the best approach is just give in gracefully and utter the well loved phrase of "Yes dear" which usually earns me one of "those" looks and sometimes a BJ slap
