Beware of Mr Baker Having just watched this documentary style movie on the one and only Ginger Baker I thought I would share and re-open an old thread. A physical wreck after decades of substance abuse and debilitating health issues, Baker nonetheless proved to be of sufficiently sound mind to share numerous anecdotes about his fleeting but enduringly memorable glory days with the supergroups Cream and Blind Faith, along with stories of his other colorful personal and professional misadventures throughout the world. Unmissable.

The Spirit of 45 directed by Ken Loach

So, following the end of the War, the country followed ultra socialist policies that improved the quality of life for everyone very dramatically following which the documentary follows the changes in attitudes towards social friendly policies and how they impacted the population indicating how the drive towards ever higher profits is eroding the social fabric of this nation.

A contemplating feast and a nostalgic journey.

Yep Emzed Loach is a fine director who sticks to his guns and has never sold out politically.
Went to the cinema last night and watched a film that you really have to think about.
"Only God Forgives" written and directed by Nicholas Winding Refn
To sum-up this is a very atmospheric, deep movie with great actors/actresses and dealing with difficult and serious themes, with some philosophical analysis possible, but definitely not in the same style as Drive, even though it has some similarities with it.
