Smile for Friday....guesting on 2nd half of Gov't Mules gig at Cardiff, master guitar blaster Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake,et al)some great interplay between Warren Haynes and an English Icon..This band make no secret of their love for Classic Rock by playing many assorted mini cameos during their concerts..10/10
While getting my bike out of the garage to go to work this morning, My cousin's daughter gets out of her mums car and gives me a great big hug, such a lovely way to start a Sunday.
Figuring out why the car was having trouble starting and effecting a temporary fix...back to garage mechanics with a bad attitude tomorrow...was THEIR EFFIN' slipshod workmanship that caused problem...GRRRRRRRR :/
Blocking off a woman in a Volvo in a car park, stepping out of the bus,and (politely) asking her to put her bloody mobile phone away whilst driving....to a round of loud applause from my pensioner passengers...pmsl
Finally accepting that my days of riding big sportsbikes all day are over, my shagged out wrecked old skeleton just isn't happy.
It's ok when the wind blast on your shoulders is sufficient enough to take the weight off your wrists, but the trouble is, that only happens at around 115-ish mph upwards. And that's frowned up in a 30 zone, at least it is where I live.
So, looks like this might only be used for short blasts and track days, and I'll be back to using a Supermoto or a Speed Triple to appease the sore bits. What a knackered old codger, age isn't just a number after all.
Smile today? Sitting out a break in Janis the bus, watching a fox strolling about in Cirencester,in broad daylight, sniffing around the bins behind a church, nipping through a garden hedge to grab a discarded sandwich wrapper off the pavement, then settling down on a flat roof to doze in the sunshine..urban AND urbane..:)
Dunno how that will help the arm I broke 3 times, I haven't got farmer's if that's what you were getting at? pmsl
It's just years of abuse catching up with me, being sat upright will be much more comfortable at legal speeds in town. I can still ride sportsbikes, for shorter periods of time, funnily enough a 20 minute track session at a time will be about right. No way would I use one to go long distance now, I'd have to stop too many times.
Right, I'm off to get my slippers on and have a cup of Horlicks.
As if!!
Some mates are playing tonight, so I'm going to see Mick Underwood's Glory Road. Or as I affectionately call them, Glory Hole.
Smile today....slip sliding around till we reached the treeline above the village,Nacho has 4 paw drive, but reluctant to haul my carcass up after him at times...:)>
