Make sure your bike is in a roadworthy condition and you are in fairly good health, you need a reasonable level of fitness to ride the distance involved in this trip.
Remember to pack your passport and any other legally required document, or whatever is required for where you are going.

Also if you are taking meds make sure you have enough to last you for the trip.
Take out insurance to cover you if you should need flying back to Britain.
