well as i say there are lots of people on here who either are hiding stuff or who are just like lurkin to see whats going on but its just weird if you ask me.if you want to meet someone or make friends you have to be honest and tell about yourself

I have not been posting on these forums for long, but I have been honest in my Profile, and when I'm PM'd I reply honestly. I have come to the conlusion that Nodding at standard members is pointless as is those with too many 'Tell You Laters'. I have even PM'd some full members with no reply, I take that as I have too much honesty in my profile and not enough 'Tell you Laters' The world is full of Shallow, Ageist, Racist, Discriminating folk so to expect ALL BM members to be none of these is just Kidding yourself. sorry ZZRBABE42, I think I've drifted off subject again!

...I have even PM'd some full members with no reply, I take that as I have too much honesty in my profile and not enough 'Tell you Laters' No Tel, just bleddy rude of them not to reply. Unless someone types something rude/offensive (not happened yet) or jibberish (happens quite often lol) I always reply to my messages. I wish others would do the same. I suspect we lose a lot of new members because of lack of responses to their messages. Biker Match is a platform from which to organise meeting other members, whether for friendship or dating, so to ignore anyone who sends a message is definitely rude, and makes me wonder why the hell they are members in the first place!

On the other hand maybe they think a reply is like leading me on to a friendship that ain't going to happen? It's just an observation of mine and not a big Issue. Tel.

At our age Tel (a lot of members are over 40) we should be telling it straight not avoiding folk cos we don't like to upset 'em. However if a profile states JUST FRIENDS or NOT LOOKING FOR A RELATIONSHIP then it's safe to assume a person would be wasting their time contacting them if they were looking for more, so perhaps in those circumstances the recipient would prefer to ignore the message as the sender has ignored the content of the profile? (It aint 'alf complex init?) lol

Spot on Sandi.

I have often been bemused when people contact those who say they aren't looking for someone then complain when they get no reply......

Lulu, if I lived near Belfast and I read your profile below: Seeking :Nobody Interested in meeting: Friends I'd be confused I've never PM'd anyone that was seeking Nobody. This wasn't dig at you Lulu.

Tel, if you don't put anything in the 'interested in meeting bit' it comes up as 'tell you later' lol!

And I only recently have changed my 'seeking' to 'nobody' as there isn't much point here in Belfast there are hardly any peeps that want to talk or meet you apart from Debs (Kwakgirl) bless her heart.

On the other hand I have very little time to socialise anyhow.....so no point me seeking anyone really.

I didn't take your remark as a dig at all

must say I'd read that slightly differently to VT.. i'd see it as 'seeking nobody' = not interested in a 'date' but still looking to chat/meet friends?

Agreed Neil.

I'm not interested in dating but meeting new friends is ok.

Thats how I see it when I see that on anyone's profile too
