Usual trundle up to work and back, but went into Stroud on the way home to buy Verity a new oil filter, ready for a post-MOT servicing binge tomorrow morning..
As a present for being a good girl and passing her MOT,Verity is getting new oil filter and oil,a plug clean, air filter blown through,a hot soapy wash and polish, and then a Scottoiler fitted, new brake pads sat on shelf in garage for when needed...New front brake pads to go on Marilyn too....busy busy...:)>
Fitted a new wind deflector to Marilyn's screen...hope this eliminates the "visor rattle" above,um,the national speed limit..and also a fender extender to keep coolant and oil radiators grit/stone free...:)> Fitted new fork Gaiters to Verity,my commuter bike, keeps the fork legs clean in the winter months..and some LED bulb upgrades....:)>
Wednesday, usual 22 mile round trip to work and back, then off out to the Forest Of Dean for Bikenite..this time the Miners Arms at Whitecroft, other side of Lydney...smallish turnout due to cloudy skies, but a nice 60 odd miles on Marilyn, on drying roads..pictures to follow...
Last weekend trekked over Friday to Barmouth Camping weekend via Brum to pick up Hels, a pillion pal, then reverse repeat on Monday...normal to and fro to Tetbury during the week..Thursday morning Verity slightly reluctant to fire up,so got a new battery and fitted after work...:)>
Saturday and stripped Marilyn's calipers apart, cleaned throughout, regreased all 8 pistons and refitted along with new pads, went for a gentle potter around the local hills, brakes transformed into proper stoppers now,as good as my Speed Triple..chuffed..:)
Another lovely day here so a trip up the coast to Hornsea, coffee and chat in the café on seafront with a couple of guys from Beverley then up to Bridlington , sat on seafront for a while then a ride back to Withernsea with a group going the same way.
Blew some cobwebs off Rudolph The Speed Triple, and took him out to Weds.Bikenite,Tonight was the turn of the Anchor Inn,Epney...good turnout, trying to get used to it being nearly dark by 8pm...pictures on my photos, should anyone feel the urge..:)>
Getting the Hayabusa ready for tonights drag racing at the airfield.
It's the last one of the year, plus some of us are doing it for our mate that was killed when he was out with us a few weeks ago. He loved that place too.
So, an evening of gears, beers, and tears.......Love it!!
Sunday, and a sedate ride ALL the way back from Lower Lode, got wet from Gloucester back to Leonard Stanley, but not soaked..hope all those that had further to go (EVERYONE,lol) fared better...a well attended bash..with some new faces being made welcome..:)>
