9 nights , how many campsites are you planning to stay at . ? Coz making and breaking camp every day or tw o in Scottish summer weather , sounds a bit arduous. Lol ... Not that I'm a big puff or anything . But , tent up , tent down 9 days on the trot in the pissing down rain requires more balls than the two I've got ...

Sussex suzi - it is for me too (I actually live on Hayling island and you don't get much further south!) - i'm thinking I'll break it up on way up & back, through dales and/or lakes.....

If we all go we could have our own convoy to scotty land
Sounds like a great idea stopping over half way there and back... Maybe a family room and split the cost 3 ways

Its going to be 10 hours riding to get to Ben Nevis (one of the sites) without breaks...

We can stay at the Etap hotel in Manchester on 19/07 for £18 for the room with 1 double & 1 single bunk, or 20/07 for £32.

Return would be same hotel. 29/07 for £58 or 30/07 for £18..

The cost is per room and not per person

Well if I can make it it's an even longer ride, So even beats Hayling island !! I'll put my name down nearer the time when I know, not much point at the mo, Though I might need a stop over at your Debs !!

You would be welcome Mic... My flat mate will have moved out by then so will have a spare bed if you do want to stop over

Poole is a little further south than Hayling Island, but not as far as you Mic

Mickeymoo, kwsideb, sussex suzi - having checked mileage and route, think Manchester may be not far north enough for first stop. Ambleside or Keswick may be better......??? Yup! Brittany definitely tops Hayling! Yo! (I was over your way on the triumph, 3 weeks back - was fab!) :)

Hi Peeps, think I'm now a definite for this so who fancies riding up via a more interesting route to Bonny Scotland, avoiding the motorways, maybe taking in Hartside cafe at Alstom. I can plan a route and put a link up if anyones interested!
