Matt is there any way we can have a 'next' button on the events photos pages, please? It's time consuming (annoying), when there are loads of photos, having to scroll back down the page to see the next photo.

I think that would be a very useful addition I too find it a bind It will probably take me all nitght to see all the FYP pics A next button or a "gallery function" or "slide show" option would make life easier Would it be possible Matt I would have thought a man of your calibre could sort that

I agree, we've just been looking at the 165 pics uploaded (so far) for FYP and it's taken ages. Also we need to have some quicker way to upload pictures, it's taken me ages to load the 60+ taken by us.

I'm sure we should be able to upload a folder or batch ? What about it Matt ? Is it possible ?

Cheers Dude. I have only uploaded a few of my pics from the farmyard due to time constraints.

yep - think it would be a great idea - next button or a slide show & also a mass upload would be good too!

I agree, a next button would be great to go through them all easily without having to scroll down the page to find where you were & be able to really remember the weekend. I took 70 pics, all of them had to be sized down to 20% of thier size & then uploaded one by one (thats why only 23 got uploaded lol) , a mass load would be great too

Probably off topic, and I'm not going to post any links, but the thought of resizing all my pics to under 600k reminded me that I'd not downloaded my favourite utility for doing this. If you google "PixResizer", you'll find a batch photo adjustment tool, which can do an entire folder in one go, and it's free. (I have nothing to do with the product, or company that wrote it) "Shimples". A next button would be brill!

click on Help at the bottom of any page, i've put a program in there along with a small guide on how to use it. It's a very simple program too (The easiest i could find). Anyhow... I'm working on the Next button now (though I think we'll have to skip the mass-upload button due to some technical reasons i wont go into. I might put the upload box at the top though so u dont have to keep scrolling down)

On the mass upload ... just an idea, is there anyway that active x control could be used on the site ? I know a lot of other sites use it somthing like that to upload lots of pics & if you could use it here it would be faster. Just a thought for the 'geeks' ... oops sorry dear 'gurus' to mull over

OK ive added a Previous and Next button to the events photos page for INTERNET EXPLORER users. I'm working on the firefox button as we speak. Please test it for me and let me know if it works ok. Re the uploading... I'm afraid not. I've no experience writing activex and it's a whole new ball-game. There's also too much that happens for each upload, writing info to the database etc, which requires your ASP session data. I really wouldn't know where to start with an ActiveX component (And there's nothing i can just download that would work 'out of the box' either).

Added Previous/Next buttons for all other non-IE browsers. Please test and let me now how it works (or doesn't work).
