Well done Matt. I take it you weren't doing circiuts and bumps at schipol. I'm presume thats VFR? IFR next then?

First solo flight!! Big deal! I made my first solo flight about eighteen years ago! It was on an XJ900 over a severe hump backed bridge near Notton!!

Well done Matt...does that means there's gonna be a new sister site Aeromatch soon?
Geoff, I did my first solo on an R1200GS off a bridge about three years ago. Charley Boorman eat yer heart out - you'd have thought I'd have known better at my age, but what the hell?

haha ric, very funny I did 2 "Touch n goes" with my instructor, before he let me loose to do another 5 on my own. My cheeks are hurting from grinning so much. BB - it was VFR @ Eindhoven airport (EHEH). Roachy... I'm going changing my underwear now. Wills - watch this space :-D

What about the emergency stop? (followed by the emergency plummet!)

Deleted Member @ 10/06/2009 20:16

actually we have to practice emergency landings (Where my instructor will close the throttle just after take-off, announce a "Simulated emergency" to the tower, and i have to land the plane safely/promptly). THATS pretty scary

Dont forget on the swerve there is a required speed

it gives you wings ....well done matt, fair play to you, i hate flying, so that would be a no no for me, could always fit wings to my blackbird, as she flies !!!
