Hi All,
Following from a conversation over the weekend at the Tan Hill ride out, people were wanting "something else" to do.
Anyway... I've got a couple of friends who race powerboats!
The first National Race Meeting (including F2 boats, with 2.5litre, V6 two stroke engines ) is next weekend (Sat/Sun 2nd/3rd May 2009) in St Helens, Merseyside.

Althought I can't organise a ride out to it (as I have a commitment to be there for other purposes), I can recommend it as a good day out, with a fully-stocked clubhouse, doing food, hot drinks and a full bar.
Afraid there's only overnight accom for competitors, but maybe I'll see some of you there.
