I'D take the fazer to a Yammy dealer RK being a newish bike and all.They might have fixed similar probs before even if they dont let on...thats the way i'd go!

Its a 52 plate exc so not really newish, just well looked after. There's a dealer not far from work, think i'll pop it in next week and see what they take my eyes out for!!

I've had a run out tonight and across an industrial estate with no helmet so I could hear properly and Pond you're absolutely right, it's pinking it's arse off so maybe due a service since it hasn't been done for over 5k and 12 months!
