Cheers Kwak :oD, upto ianhg though, the reason I suggested it was why risk the Bike Barn being ruined better to let a scroat open it to see a dirty great chain and ground anchor (if the end is locked down in some way it'll only make them curious to what's inside)
hey guys i am a locksmith/safe engineer for 20 years, ground anchor...check....cen 5 standard padlock and chain...check....cen 5 standard top of the range disc lock...check...all locks fitting the same key ....check.........being a total smart arse ...priceless lmao
if i dont stop the opening edge being lifted people will lift it plus i am having cctv on it, plus a alarm and auto dialler to my mobile shoulld the alarm be tripped
Better off setting up a car alarm on the inside that floods the closed barn with sonic waves if lifted it would automaticly sound alarm then :oD
But a suggestion for the prevent of opening the open end would be an anchor at each end threded through a bit of 2"x2"x6mm angle iron and a closed disc lock at each end. Crude but effective unless said theif comes very well equipped i.e still saw (opps no stanley knife lol) you know yourself the weakest thing will come under attack 1st.
LOL Hull=vehical crime capitol of UK (well was but still think it is)
A very determined theif will have it away before you can do much but you do all you need to feel as protected as possable. pssst could fill the barn with gas and mount matches on inside with a stiking plate (mind you barn and bike would be damaged too but you could blaim the crispy twonk for attempting to cover his attempts of stealing with arson lmao)
