Most 'foreigners' speak English! unless you're going into the back of beyond, where civilisation aint yet visited. Can't help with those languages Matt, I've forgotten most of the French I learned and only speak a bit of Spanish. Like you say tho, it won't give you the exact pronounciation. A phrase book would. I reckon if ya say 'Please' and 'Thank you' in all those languages you should be ok, after all everyone likes good manners don't they and surely would forgive you for gibbering at em if ya mind your Ps and Qs? The moral to this is BE PREPARED!! takes a lot of stress and hassle out of life. DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERAS! Loads of pics please, and if everyone can write a bit about their experience, and offer tips for future travellers, would be good eh? Safe journeys to you Matt and all those who are joining you on your travels.

Ok ok.... I changed my profile pic from the one with the deer so that it wouldn't cause confusion with ttaskmaster..... and this one with the bandanna is obviously too similar to TM's pic, so I have gone for something completely unique..... Anybody got a problem with THIS one??
