1) I have not received my registration Activation Email
Answer: This is more than likely because you have entered an invalid email
address during signup or you have Spam filters/Junk mail folders. Check
these first (especially on Hotmail and Yahoo addresses)
If you are sure that the email has not been received, please use this
link to resend it...
http://www.bikermatch.co.uk/sites/bm/myaccount/resend_activation.asp
Please always wait up to 3 hours before contacting us for
further assistance, as email can sometimes be delayed.
Please contact us if you would like us to
investigate and/or change your email address. You can also
re-register using a correct/valid email address. However, you will
be unable to use the same username as you originally created.
2) The website does not remember me/auto-login
Answer:
This is due to cookies being disabled in your internet browser. If cookies
are enabled, then you have settings on your PC that are deleting cookies from
your computer (e.g. Clean-up settings when shutting down your PC).
3) My photos are too big, how do I resize them?
Answer:
Photos have to be of a reasonable size to be uploaded to Biker Match. This
is to enable our members to be able to upload more photos whilst still using the
same amount of space. If you are unsure how to resize a picture, please
use the manual guide below, or download the auto-resizing program...
Guide (Select format):
Adobe Acrobat,
Microsoft Word
Program: JPEG Resizer
(Important: Use this example configuration)
4) My profile does not appear in searches
Answer:
This is because your profile is disabled. Please login to your account and
select to "Enable" your profile from the Profile tab.

Answer:
Only qualified profiles appear on the homepage. These are profiles that
are enabled, have at least one picture uploaded, have been online more than 24
hours for vetting and belong to a fully subscribed account.
6) I cannot send messages to a specific person
Answer:

require more information, then please contact us
directly

"Disable" your profile from the Profile tab.

9) My uploaded pictures are deleted immediately
Answer:
Uploaded images that are over 300kb, or are not .jpg or .gif file format will be
deleted instantly. Please upload a file of the correct type and size.

globally. If the profile is enabled again, then it will be displayed in
your favourites list without you having to re-add it.
11) My profiles has "No Picture" displayed as a photo
Answer:
This is a standard image that is used for profiles when no image has been
uploaded. Please upload at least one photograph, and set it as "My best
picture" for it to be used. Biker Match will also set this image as your
default picture if you do no use a suitable photograph as your "Best Picture"
(This should be a picture of yourself only).
12) My forum topic/post is no longer visible
Answer: The Biker Match forum moderator team reserve the right to remove any post or topic from
the forums. This is to protect our members' best interests. Biker
Match does NOT have to provide any written explanation as to why a post or topic
has been removed, but you are more than welcome to ask us.
13) My payment has been sent but my account has not been updated
Answer:
PayPal often takes a short period of time (Up to 1 hour) to update the Biker
Match servers. However, accounts are normally updated within less than a
second. If your account is not updated after one hour, then please
contact us and we will be more than happy to
investigate for you.
14) How do I unsubscribe/stop payments?
Answer: All new payments since 2010 have been single payments.
From now on you only "Top Up" your BikerMatch account when you want to
use the full features of the site. You do not therefore have a
recurring payment and there is nothing you need to cancel or worry
about.
Exception: There are about 10 original members of BM who are still
using recurring payments but they have been on the site for many years.
If you're one of these dozen members you will already be aware you have
a recurring payment and you can contact us directly for advice if you
wish to cancel.
Thanks to everyone who supports the site. It makes a great
difference. If you choose to leave the site we hope to see you
back again soon.
15) How do I delete my account?
Answer: If you no longer want
to be an active member, please simply disable your account. The best way to do this is...

default. To remove your proxy server, please follow this guide
(Choose file format)...
Remove Proxy Guide (Microsoft Word

Remove Proxy Guide (Acrobat PDF version)
18) My photos are always deleted - why?
Answer: Photos which do not follow our site rules will be
removed. If you continue to upload photos that are not allowed,
your account may be deleted from the site. Our
Rules, Policies, Terms & Conditions can be found here.
Remember to only upload photos of yourself to your Profile Pics album.
Your bike, holiday, house photos can be uploaded to additional albums
which you may create.
19) Why am I asked to upgrade to send messages when it used to be
free?
Answer: You can send 25 free messages as a standard user.
After that you become a regular user of the site and we ask that you
please contribute to advertising and running costs which keep the site
going. Without our members contributing there would be no website.
We must heavily advertise BM in the media (printed and online) in order
to always keep new people joining the site. Without new members
joining the site we would have to close down. The more people who
contribute the more new members we can bring into the site through
advertising.
20) How do I extend my subscription before my subscription runs out?
Answer: You cannot make a payment until your current payment
has run out. This prevents duplicate payments and confusion. You
will be prompted to upgrade in the future whenever you try to use a
premium feature with a standard account.
