Hey guys I am in need of some help quickly, I need a part for my custom virago. It is the screw in cover for the crank shaft under the plate on the left of the engine.
It is generic to all XV 700-1100 cc virago bikes. Part No 1L9-11186-00 Description:- COVER, CYLINDER HEAD SIDE
I cant put a picture on here but this is the link to the part online http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-xv700ss-virago-1986_model9200/covercylinder-head-side_1l91118600/
I cant do anymore work until I get it replaced it. If you have a virago sitting doing nothing I will replace the part as the quickest I can get a new one is next week. I am in need for this quickly to get it set up and on the road.
Ha ha, seen the price it's 5 euros, by the time you order it and delivered its 20 Euro's......used them before...really expensive.. Just needed one quickly to work on the bike as it is I have to wait until it is shipped now.... So can't do much with out it..
Right been trying to set up carbs,,, having an absolute nightmare getting the float bowl levels set....manual says 1mm from top of bowl but you cant do it in the bike as if it over flows you'll flood the head...done it already and had to flush the engine oil a few times to make sure I don't get engine wash..... so i set em up in a vice but 1 mm its not much and if i have the angle of in the vice just slightly then I'm fecked again..
Does anyone know just how accurate it has to be and any tricks tips how to do this?
