...add an event to the Events Forum
Click on the icon, top of page, 'New Topic'
A text box will open up (the one I'm typing in at the mo)
Where it says 'Select Forum' click on the down arrow and the menu will open up
Choose the Motorcycle Events & Rides Out forum
In the 'Subject' line add a title, if it's for an event include the full date, including year.
(Remember not to post in CAPITAL letters)
Type in the box all the info you have about the event.
I hope that was explained clearly enough.

Firstly please check that it's not already on the calendar.
You submit the event for the calendar and a Calendar Admin checks it out, then adds it, IF it's done correctly.
Please allow plenty of time before the event, when you submit it, to maximise the attendance.
Click on the icon, top of page, 'Events' it will take you to the calendar
Click on 'Add an Event'
A form will appear, fill it in completely, again NO CAPITAL letters. By that I mean DO NOT TYPE ALL WORDS IN CAPITALS, obviously the first letter of a word, starting a sentence, and names, needs a capital.
Once the form is completed hit the 'Add Event'
It will appear for the date you added on the form. If it doesn't show up, you've not put it on the date you thought you had.
BTW = By The Way if you need to add some info, or need an error corrected, on a CALENDAR entry, not the forum, please DO NOT re-submit the event, just get in touch with me and I will sort it for you.
Let me know which date, and title of the event, then I can find it.

...add a link from the forums to the events calendar
The link to the Events Calendar is via the button marked 'events' at the top of the page.
One you have the calendar event that you wish to link to move your cursor /mouse to the address bar, at the top of the page, right click on it and choose 'copy' from the options that show up
then go to the thread/topic you want to add the link to and in the text box (the thing I'm typing this into) right click and choose 'paste'
The same applies to other sites, however, before hitting the 'post message' button, remember to highlight the text and choose BLACK from the colour palette, the large letter A
Even tho the text is already black, if you don't do that the text shows up colourless and is difficult to read.
