The four-ton statue, which has been on display for almost two years, depicts an old-time speed racing motorcycle and rider.Police say the statue was mounted on a granite block, which has also gone missing.<o:p></o:p>

harley were helped in the second world war as well when they were given the contract instead of indian ( who had the better bike ) to build millitary bikes !!!!

If I'm right, then Harley made the Armstrong bike. I've ridden one belonging to a mate and the brakes were (almost) non-existant as I found out when a few feet away from a 'give-way' in the road.
