As some of you know, 6 weeks ago I had an operation on me hand and have been off my bike for all that time. Other than goin pilly for the ride to the wall I havnt been out biking.I have really missed being out there on my wheels.
Soooo 2day i had my virago booked in for its MOT, my 1st time bak on me bike, was the weather kind to me...........woz it hell, it woz rainin all the way there, On the way to the garage me and the bike really didnt feel like we should of been out on the road together, I dont think the weather or all the wet leaves on the road helped. Still MOT done I decided I would have a ride out anyway and get back to being 1 with the bike. Soooooooo off i went thinkin must go get fuel 1st, I had 102 miles on the clock,( i have taken bike to 114miles b4 so knew i still had a couple of miles left) so there I was filtering up2 one of the most busy juntions in coventry and......you guessed it, without warning the bike just cut out, I managed to get to the side of the road, flicked it on2 reserve and........nothing, so i sat there thinking "how do i get meself out of this one, the garage is only half a mile away at the most but with a major junction to get across turnin right and another major juntion, a 1 way system with 4 sets of lights on it and a still dodgy hand there was no way I could push the bike there, my daughter was at work so that option was out, as well, so im well atruley in poop street, lucky for me an old freind of mine is a drivin instructor came to the rescue by goin to 2 different garages to get a can and bring me some fuel.
Its suprising how well the bike runs when it has fuel in it.
After this I still went for a ride round, and it even stopped rainin and the sun came out. I gradually started remembering why I like riding so much, the buzz it gives you, so by the time I got home me and Scotty(me bike) are as one again.
My hand coped although I did have it strapped up, its hurting a bit now but it was well worh it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll on tommorrow and the sunny weather is all I can say.
