following some banter in other threads regarding web links I think it is time to clarify things. Firstly, if you look at the Terms and conditions www.bikermatch.co.uk/sites/bm/misc/rules.asp it clearly states 11) You do not use this website to advertise your own business, unless you have specific arrangements with us. and 14) No links to other sites are permitted without prior permission from Biker Match staff. Adding links to your profile to other websites may result in a permanent ban. Please apply some commonsense here. The moderators let links to some external sites through because they relate to something Witty or a current affairs news article and biking related articles. Links to other rival sites are a no no without permission. links promoting motorcycle clubs by arrangement with the mods and ultimately Matt. links to rallies should ideally be included in the events page when you submit the event. *THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST. Clickable links. NO! please DO NOT copy and paste links into your post. If you do you copy the HTML code with it. If it is a complicated link then paste the link into notepad first to remove the HTML code. This will then stop the link being clickable. If in doubt ASK!

I did ask! I dread to think what followed as it has all been deleted, but I never intended to anger or upset anyone at all. I asked a question, you have now directly answered it. Thankyou.

I wasn't aiming my comment at you Cissy, it was for everyone else as I'd already given you the link.

The point of this thread is to outline the t's & c's regarding publishing web links in the forums. The thread Kwack has bumped only covers you tube threads as per the title of the thread.

PP Matt's topic states the following Also, remember that NO FULL LINKS are allowed. i.e you should ALWAYS remove the http:// and www. at the beginning of ALL links you post so that they are just plain text, not links (This only applies to links to external websites, not bikermatch links). and I did suggest to Matt to change the title cos it doesn't mention URLs. http://www.bikermatch.co.uk/sites/bm/forum/posts.asp?to...ic_id=4043
