Hi peeps, Just to let you all know of (yet another) scam going round t'internet. This time it's an email (from refundsdept@hmrc.gov.uk) going round, following the recent tax credits renewals telling people that they are due to a refund. The email looks perfectly legit, but when I saw it something didn't sit right with me so I rang HM Revenue & Customs this morning and was advised that they never send any emails of this nature out to people. Shame really as I could've done with the £500 they were promising me, but when you click on the link in the email you are quickly releived of much more money after you fill in all your financial details. If anyone has received an email like this then forward the email to the HMRC phishing section (phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk). Remember - all big institutions do not ask for your financial details via email EVER! BlueBoy This should get my Karma up!!!
