In the past I have been shouted at for gently picking a spider up and putting it out into the garden instead of following orders i.e. "Kill it kill it kill it"

However, one fundamental flaw I'm afraid; the ultrasonic sound scares spiders into running away, that I get. What I don't get, is exactly how is that going to get the helpless little arachnid out of the bath?

And if all us men were gone, there'd be half the population approximately.
