I've just spent a weekend with folks who've been round the world on bikes that are held together by will power and chewing gum and you don't think you could do Scotland on a Varadero?
Im dying to do Scotland..its the only place Ive never been on a bike...well in this country anyway....Rosie - u bin on the lunchtime sauce? This country is England! This country isn't England. England is officially an autonomous region of the Country that is, the United Kingdom. It's not even Britain, which is just the island on which England, Scotland and Wales, three autonomous regions of the UK happen to lie.I think it's a legal technicality. But I'd check deeper than Wikipedia to be sure.
BC's bike is a baby Varadero, the 125. Big and comfy machine for its engine size, but as a tourer not really in the same class as its big bro.
And a 125 is still bigger than a pedal bike, but they managed it. Just need a bit more time and perhaps a base to do trips from. Ullapool is a good place to be based from.
Nothing wrong with 125s going around the world, it's been done on a Honda 50.
Re... previous post.. its 20 ish miles outside Dumfries near the Galloway coast
Not mega mileage I know but far enough with a top speed of 40 mph
(and that was downhill with a following wind )
I couldn't begin to tell you things I saw on that journey
Stuff I would have missed for sure on a "propper" bike
