road closed it has been closed now for 7 hoursA6 Derbyshire - Closed both ways between the B5035 Stoney Wood Drive junction and the A5012 Cromwell Hill junction in Whatstandwell, because of a serious accident. Diversion in operation.
All i know so far is that a biker was serioulsy hurt when a tree fell on him...
A MAN died when a tree fell on him while he was riding his motorbike along the A6.
The incident happened shortly before 10am on Sunday, close to the Holmesford cottage Inn.The 46 year-old man was riding his Suzuki bike between Holmesford Cottage Inn and high peak junction, through a wooded area known an birch Wood, when a falling branch from a tree hit him.Police are appealing for witnesses to call 0345 123 3333. The road was closed until 7pm.
An act of god , if ever i've heard of one ..if there are no witnesses how would the authorities know if he did'nt ride into it , very tragic however it may have happened.
