I am in the process this week of moving into a new house, however the only down side is i have not got a garage, this was causing me some concern till i found these bike covers , they are easy to construct, and fold like a pushchair cover, they bolt to the drive and the bike can be put away whilst still hot, it certainly has put my mind at ease and my blackbird "bigbird" is happy too !THEY COME IN AT AROUND 99.00 QUID, BUT WELL WORTH THE MONEY

I was also looking for a solution re the garage issue, a friend suggested 20ft x 10ft x 8ft metal container will work as well & the beauty is that you dont need planning permission heheeheh

thats ok if ya have the space, and its right re planning, but these covers are really good, maybe if i brave enough to invite some bm members round they can check it out

Some of those METAL bike stores make a right *racket when being opened, that's ok if your neighbours don't live too close to your property. * Saw one at the bike shop, back of Squires, it was pretty noisy. Ian are those material stores KNIFE /vandal proof? Can ya transport it, in a back-pack for rallies?

its a bit big for transporting, you can bolt them down to the drive which i will be doing, yes you could slash them, but for a cover to save the weather and alot better than conventional covers they are great, feel free to come down at anytime for a cuppa and to have a gander..will even stretch to a bacon buttie

Aww bless ya Ian, I'd take ya up on that invite if I didn't have to WALK there lol (no bike ) I was kidding about transporting them and I don't do rallies. How much does the drive cost? (I aint got a drive, I've got a patio, my son's Hyabusa is on it, it's sick)

Ian - couldn't see your piccy in your post - but I have heard of Bike Safes - which probably sound similar to what you're talking about.

very good design Ian , i paid 20 quid for a normal cover which will have to do for a while , must say , i like the soft foldup cover cos it goes where the bike goes .

I have been working on a bike shelter for a while now and (funds permitting) it should come to market in the next couple of months. Watch this space....

Ian, I can't see the photo either but I am pretty sure I know the shelter you have bought - a very nice product! (I have the soft cover from the same company). Let us know how you get on with it?

I bought one of these for a friend few years back and it is still going well. Keeps the worst of the weather off and stops the sun from fading the paintwork. for the DIY among you I made a similar cover when I was working in the Channel Islands. Couple of lengths of 3X2 some copper pipe and a tarpaulin with a dust sheet under it. I was working on a building site so got the bits for free. That was in 2004 and my friend is still using it

For those who can't see the picture, myself included, just click on the red X and it opens up so you can see it. Altho it is on ebay so may not be on their site for long

I cannot open the piccy either but from your description it's a "Motrax Bike Barn" I got one at BMF tail ender last year £50 inclunding postage and Packaging :oD my bike just fits under it (including Screen and Rack/towbar making my bike a little longer than usual). I would not anchor the open end down as a stanley knife would open it very easily better to invest in a ground anchor to go inside :oD
