Hi All
I need your tips and advice on what to use to clean my patio please?
It's concrete paving slabs and it's covered in mold, a green slimey mess.
I've only been in this house about 9 mths so it was like it when I moved in and I think it's cos that part of the garden is quite shady and damp. I'd prefer not to keep scrubbing it with bleach and wondered if you knew of anything that would clean it up and keep it mold free, or at least be easy to use if I did need to keep repeating the process.
Cheers
Unfortunately no.
I've got a brand new hose pipe I've not unreeled yet but water aint the problem, at the moment...no water ban just yet...it's what product to use to clean the slabs. I think a pressure washer may dislodge the slabs cos I don't think they are fixed securely Patio by 'Bodgit & Scarper'

The green stuff is an algae kwak. there are a number of biocidal /fugicidal patio cleaners on the market. you just put it on with a watering can. it kills the algae and you just sweep it away in about 7 days. If you pressure wash it then it'll just come back again.
Algae? that figures, it's like the stuff on top of ponds yea.
Ah right B B, but are they harmless to pets cos n/doors cat often comes into my garden (thinks it's a cat loo lol)
Jaye's fluid. you can't beat it. mix it in a watering can as directed and apply to the patio then scrub over it with a stiff brush. leave for about an hour then hose away with a normal garden hose. We used it at Fraglette's and it worked a treat. The old ways are the best. If you want a healthy lawn use fishmeal and bone as a fertiliser.
LOL @ healthy lawn, I've nearly killed it off cos there were more weeds than grass and I used weed killer to get rid of the weeds, and guess what... . The birds are happy tho, they take the DEAD grass for their nests
Thank you all for your help
