Now that we've moved to the new server, I really need some help from you all testing the speed. If you have 2 minutes to spare, please can you load this page and run the test? http://www.bikermatch.co.uk/speedtest/ With the results you get, please post below in this topic with the following info... Your results (Down and Upload speed) from the link above Name of your internet provider The speed of your internet package (2Mb, 4Mb, 8Mb, etc)NB: If you know both the down and upload of your internet, that would be great. Download = 1934 kbps
Upload = 230 kbps

ISP = Nildram (Part of Tiscali group... recently been taken over by TalkTalk *spits!* may have to bin it now - can't STAND TalkTalk! Will therefore be watching these results with interest )

My internet package is 8Mb, but my actual ADSL line speed is 2048 kbps according to BT.

BT claim : "We've just tested your line and can confirm your line supports the UK's most complete broadband package, BT Total Broadband. We estimate your maximum download connection to be up to 2.5 Mbps (Megabits per second).

funny blues, excellent comment. Julie - your upload is apawling. Ok now I'm interested in some of these results. Next question... Do you get the same results if you go to www.speedtest.net and select a server near you? For what it's worth (And just to gloat), my download AND upload are both 100,000 Kbps (Or 100Mbps)

looks like virgin are good. Those who only get 2Mbps but have an "8Mb line", please let me know what happens when you choose to retry using a server close to you (The options you get at the end of the test)

Direct to www.speedtest.net, London server: Download 2.72Mbps Upload 320Kbps. Ping 89ms So... tried a test direct to you again... (3 times) 2.4Mbit, 2.1Mbit, 2.3Mbit. (With a steady 350k upload on all 3 Back to Speedtest.net (3 times) 2.71Mbit, 2.72Mbit, 2.72Mbit (again with a steady 320 upload). I'm happy that I'm getting what my line is capable of, but to you seems a little slower than to London.
